The Fault in Our Stars
The Fault in Our Stars has gotten quite a lot of buzz in the last few months. The fault in ours is one of my favorite books and I have reread it about three times! It starts off with Hazel a sixteen year old cancer ridden girl who starts attending a support groups for her depression she hates it but still attends it. One day she attends the support group and meets Augustus Waters a boy recovering from his own cancer that left him with a prosthesis leg. They become star crossed lovers and spend every waking minute with each other but when a plot twist makes its way into there life it throws everything off.
Wonderstruck

He looks for a building he found on a postcard from a long time ago from his father to his mother. Once he finds the building it has been closed down but he doesn't stop there he goes into a museum and meets a boy that helps him throughout the book. Ben's story is told in words but theres another persons story being told in the pictures. The ending is a surprise full of mystery and hope.
The Running Dream
Jessica lived a normal life until the bus ride home from her track meet. CRASH! Jessica felt a shot of pain shoot up her leg. Then next thing she knew she was in a hospital bed with her mother silently weeping beside her. "Mom," Jessica said gently her mom wiped her eyes on her sleeve and looked up "Honey, you finally woke up!" "Yeah," Jessica knew what happened and she also knew what she would see if she pulled back the covers, but she had to see it so she took a deep breath and pulled back the covers she was right about what she would see but she was horrified there right in front of her was one perfectly tan leg than next to it a short stub with horrible scars and marks her mother was whaling now and jessica was weeping into her pillow nothing will ever be the same was what she was thinking from than on. Her passion was running on the track and now she thought it was ll gone. But many things happen, her crush finally notices her but is it just the leg? I think this book is defiantly encouraging to crippled and disabled people.
